(Blanche enters carrying some papers and file folders, followed by Mimi, dressed in a sweat suit, and Fifi, carrying a laptop computer.)

Mimi: Hi, Blanche, hi, Fifi, got here as soon as I could. I brought my new workout video.

Fifi: I brought my laptop with three dictionaries and four thesaurus programs.

Blanche: Workout videos? Dictionaries, thesaurus programs? Whatever are you two talking about?

Mimi: Well, I’m not sure why we would need a dictionary, but I brought my workout video so we could all work together at that new women’s project you called about.

Blanche: Let me get this straight. You plan to use a workout video for our new women’s project, is that right?

Mimi: Exactly!

Blanche: You mean, workout, like, (puffs and does aerobics to indicate exercising), workout . . . .

Mimi: It will be fun, I just know it! I got this workout video for Christmas, it’s by the popular new aerobics gurus, Martin and Rossi, they are simply great!

Blanche: Video, . . . . . aerobics . . . . . . . Martin and Rossi, . . I guess you have lost me!

Fifi: Well, I’m glad you said so, Blanche! I have no idea what you are talking about, Mimi! We are here for the women’s project, and you are going on about workout and fitness. I mean, what does that have to do with the project theme? I mean . . .

Mimi: Hello! The theme! Shapers! I tell ya, some people just don’t listen! Now then, where’s the TV and VCR? I’ll get my video going. This will be a blast! By the way, Blanche, you just may be a tad over-dressed!

Fifi (to Blanche): What color is the sky in her world? I, for one, was listening when you called on the phone! I distinctly heard you say Word Shapers. So I, for one, did it right! I brought along my computer so we could get right at it and “shape some words.” Alright then, what word do we start with?

Blanche: Fifi, sorry, I’m afraid you’ve got it all wrong. It isn’t Word Shapers, it’s . . .

Mimi: I told you! And you’re the one asking what color the sky is in my world! OK, then why don’t we start with some deep knee bends first, and then we’ll move into . . .
