When God gives the Great Commission, He means everywhere. But what happens when our well-organized church planning collides with God's urgent and all-encompassing mission?

In this fast-paced, thought-provoking skit, a group of enthusiastic church members are busy planning the next semester of Sunday School—until an unexpected Voice interrupts. God Himself weighs in with a clear and challenging message: “Take my message of salvation everywhere.” The group scrambles to respond, trying to make sense of “everywhere” within their tidy mission strategies. But God doesn’t do tidy—He does eternal impact.

Sample of the script:

[Actors enter, chatting excitedly and greeting each other.]

1: Hi people! What’s happening?

2: Working on the Sunday School curriculum for next semester.

3: I am so excited about what’s happening in our church; we are so tuned in to doing God’s will.

4: Well, Pastor always says we need to be tuned in to the voice of God.

5: I wonder, if God spoke to us, right here, right now, what would He ask us to do?

[An unexpected offstage Voice of God (VOG) is heard.]

VOG: I want you to take my message of salvation everywhere.

[All actors freeze, shocked, looking around for the source of the voice.]

6: Hey, whoa . . what was that?

1: That’s likely little Tommy Glenn messing around in the sound booth again . . .

2: Can’t be Tommy Glenn. Tommy’s in the hospital with appendicitis.

3: Well, whoever it is, we are not amused!

4: Now, where were we . . ?

VOG: You asked me what I am asking you to do. And I said I want you to take my message of salvation everywhere.

5: OK, whoever you are, now that’s about enough!

VOG: “Whoever . . I . . . am”?

2: No more games! Now who are you?

VOG: God.

2: “God”?

VOG: God . . . You know, as in your heavenly Father.

6: Look, there’s gotta be some mistake here.

VOG: You mean you don’t think I am God, or you weren’t really asking for my direction?

4: Well, yes we were, but it’s just . . .

VOG: You know the old saying—be careful what you pray for, it just might happen.

5: Wow! . . . I mean . . is it really, like, you?

VOG: Pretty hard to mistake me. I am the only God.

5: Yes you are. I mean, I . . that is, we . . we all know that.

VOG: That’s reassuring. If my people don’t know I’m genuine, we do have trouble.
Back to my instruction . . I want you to take my message of salvation everywhere.

6: But God . . . that’s what your church has been doing for centuries.

VOG: I beg to differ . . and I haven’t held you personally responsible . . not up until now at least . . but my wish is that . . all people . . everywhere . . will know my salvation.

1: Your people share your wish.

VOG: I’m not so sure. . . . I gotta maybe clarify a bit . . see, it’s not like I just wish that all people everywhere will know my salvation . . . I . . wish . . that this happen.

2: I’m not sure I follow you . . .
