This silent mime piece tells the story of a weary, burdened Hobo Mime pushing a heavy wheelbarrow, symbolizing the emotional and spiritual weight of rejection, ridicule, and hardship. Along the way, others mock, dismiss, and add to his burden, making his journey even more difficult. Just when it seems unbearable, a kind figure points him toward heaven, offering hope. At first, the Hobo resists, but after a moment of reflection, he prays. With each step in faith, the burden grows lighter until he exits with joy and freedom, demonstrating the transformative power of God’s love and acceptance.
Illusion: the wheelbarrow

Sample of script
A sad Hobo type character enters with a somewhat heavy wheelbarrow. Two people enter. The first (Mime 1) makes fun of and laughs at the Hobo Mime. Mime 1 takes a big block and places it into the wheelbarrow, making it much heavier. The second character (Mime 2) is stuck-up and dismisses Hobo Mime. The wheelbarrow becomes heavier. Next, two mimes (may be same Mime 1 & 2 or new Mime 3 & 4) enter and toss the Hobo’s hat between them and leave it on the floor. The Hobo character picks up the mask and the barrow is extremely heavy.
A new person (Mime 5) enters and has pity. Mime 5 taps the Hobo on the shoulder and then points heavenward. The Hobo responds, No. . . .
