Splash Man and Splash Girl return for another hilarious and heartfelt adventure at Vacation Bible School. This time, the lesson is inspired by Jesus and the Woman at the Well (John 4), teaching kids about acceptance, diversity, and sharing God’s love with everyone—no matter where they come from.
As new kids arrive at VBS, Splash Man and Splash Girl are confused and surprised to learn that these kids aren’t just from their church—or even their town! The idea that children from other counties, states, and backgrounds might join in seems completely ridiculous to them at first. But through a wacky story about fish tanks in “Chicken Tooth Falls,” they come to realize that more colors make things better—whether it’s fish, friends, or faith!
Each segment is approximately 10 minutes, except for the final sketch #5, which is 20 minutes:
-
Sketch 1 based on “Jesus Calms the Storm” Matt 8:23, Mark 4:35, Luke 8:22
-
Sketch 2 based on “Jesus Washes Feet” John 13
-
Sketch 3 based on “The Woman at the Well” John 4
- Sketch 4 based on “Great Gal Super Hero”
- Sketch 5 based on “Making A Splash for Jesus”
- Splash Man Series combines all 5 scripts
The main characters are based, (of course), on Bat Man and Bat Girl.

SGirl: Mind if I get my breath before I answer, Splash Man?
SMan: No problem, Splash Girl. I am thankful for you getting us over here to the Splash Pool on time. . . Not sure if you heard the announcement, but they expect lots of new kids from all over at the Vacation Bible School today.
(Jennie and Peter come on stage.)
SGirl: Will be nice to have new kids, can always make room for one more, I always say.
SMan: Matter of fact, you do always say that, don’t you, Splash Girl?
Peter: I am some excited about having new kids here! It will be awesome!
SGirl: Sure will be, but . . why do we call them new kids? . . I mean, they will like be kids from our church, right?
Jennie: No, Splash Girl, the new kids won’t be kids from our church . . ‘cause if they were from our church . . they wouldn’t be . . like . . new kids . . right?
SGirl: Oh, I guess I see what you are saying . .
SMan: Makes sense . . new kids . . . new to the church . . Right? . . Makes sense, yep.
SGirl: Well, these new kids, they will be from our community here, right?
Peter: A lot will, but not all.
SMan: Now that’s just like . . not possible! I mean, how are we gonna let kids from, say, the other side of town show up at Vacation Bible School?
Jennie: No problem, those kids would for sure be welcome.
SGirl: Wow, who woulda thought that?
SMan: Well, when you think about it, Splash Girl, having kids come from the other side of town isn’t so bad. I mean, it’s not like they are from another county or anything.
SGirl, chuckles: Yeh, Splash Man, no way someone from another county’s gonna be allowed to come to Vacation Bible School!
Peter: Actually, we would love to have kids from any other county.
SGirl: Now if that doesn’t about beat all! . .
SMan: Next thing y’alls gonna tell me some kids from out of state can come to Vacation Bible School!
(SMan and SGirl laugh uncontrollably, high five.)
SGirl: Good one there, Splash Man! . . Zero chance of that happening! . . No kids from out of state’s gonna be at Vacation Bible School!
Peter: Well, no, likely no kids from out of state’s gonna be here . . .
