A comedy that speaks of running with a vision, being clear about the vision. Championing the cause of monkeys, secretaries, etc., can be all well and good but there are other, far more important issues. The vision too often becomes a confused one.

Sample of script:

Drama opens as people march onstage. Each person is “pumped”, very excited about what they want to accomplish, whooping and hollering. Each person steps out to speak (toward the audience), really speaking to themselves, as all others in the crowd turn inward, motionless. As each speaker finishes their piece, they step back to blend into the crowd, and the next speaker comes forward, etc.

Madeline: Yahoo! This will be great! I can’t believe this day has finally come! All these people, supporting one common goal – to end illiteracy among chimpanzees! It’s about time we brought this serious issue forward! More books for Chimps! Yahoo!

Ron: Wow! This is fantastic! I’m tired of keeping this serious situation under wraps! And imagine finding so many fellow-supporters! Free the long-tailed black-feathered goose! You must know, if we don’t build some solid marshes, we’re going to loose them!

Debbie: Can you believe I’m here? Me, little Debbie Parker, here with all of the people who share my views in this important matter! My parents told mne to forget it, I would never make it all the way to the big city with my ideas! But now that I’ve made it, I see it was the right thing to do. Here we are all shouting together, in unison, “Let secretaries stand!” After all, it’s only through an oppressive society that they have been forced to stay sitting in chairs for so long! Well, we’re not going to take it anymore! Are we gang?
