Fighting Fear

Here are two ways to deal with fear. You have to face fear and fall back on your faith.
Sometimes in spite of all we have achieved, all we have done, fear and uncertainty will haunt us, and if not dealt with the fear will bring us down.

Sam comes on stage

after a few seconds Marilyn hurries on stage from opposite side

Sam:   Thanks for coming Marilyn.

Marilyn:  Well when you called me it sounded urgent so I came right over. . . . Now what’s this huge problem?

Sam:  It’s Terry.

Marilyn:   Terry?

Sam: Terry White.

Marilyn:   Terry White is a problem? . . . The Terry White? . . .The Terry White who is always in the news? . .  That I should have such a problem! . . . After just two years at Continental Wholesalers she is named Vice President and CEO. Her new international fast-forwarding shipping program is the darling of Wall Street.

Sam:  Yes she is, all of those things . . .  But Terry is also worried and unsure of herself. And I want you to talk to her.

Marilyn:  Me talk to her? . . . Whatever could I do or say that would be meaningful to someone like Terry White?

Terry comes on stage

Sam:         Hi Terry, good to see you, how are you?

Terry, timid:  I am . . OK.

Sam:  Terry, I’d like you to meet my friend Marilyn.

Terry, shakes hands with Marilyn:  
I have been looking forward to meeting you Marilyn, Sam has told me a lot about you.

Marilyn:      Whoa, time out here . .  You . . were looking forward to meeting . . . me?
Something wrong with this picture . . .
You are . .  Terry White . . .
Woman of the year . .
America’s executive of the year . . .
And I am . . . like . .  nobody . .  from Nobodysville!

Terry:        But you are something rare . . . You are a wise person.

Marilyn:      This is bizarre! . . . Just what, exactly, could I have to say that would be meaningful in your life?

Terry:        I hope you can help me deal with my fear.
