Everywhere we go we cast a shadow for all to see. What are our shadows saying about us? What are we showing others that is reflecting the image of our Creator? What do we mimic, imitate, emulate?

Script::

actor enters stage, gazing at his clipboard, planning something.

Actor, (to himself): Okay, so this is where the marker should be. And then if the light hits him just so, then the shadow should be right there, and . . .
Looks up at an imaginary person in the audience.

Actor: Oh, hi! I didn’t realize you would be so early for rehearsal! Great! I was just mapping out a few things on stage, here. I was thinking that if you were to stand here, then the light would catch you just so, and your shadow will beam onto that wall.

I know it’s hard to picture right now, without the lighting guy here to show us what it will look like on performance night, but we’ll just have to improvise for now. By the way, where is that guy? Barry said he would be here fifteen minutes ago!

Anyway, I was just dealing with this hassle of shadows. You see, it’s very important for the people to see what you’re reflecting. I would really like this shadow to be quite crisp and prominent.

(Laughing to himself)

You know what would be great? Is if we could create another shadow! My worries would be gone! I wouldn’t have to stress over the movements you might make, because it wouldn’t matter! We would have a whole separate shadow anyway! You could do whatever you wanted, and people would still just see what I would like them to see. Now that would be tons easier on me!
