Sometimes love feels like a long wait in the wrong line. In this short, sassy comedy, three friends trade dating disasters and hilarious horror stories—Brokeaz, Cheapaz, and even Marriedaz make an appearance. But in the midst of laughter, there’s a heartfelt reminder: don’t settle for less than God’s best. Inspired by the story of Ruth, Waiting For Your Boaz delivers biblical wisdom with a sharp wit and a modern twist. Perfect for women’s events, youth groups, or a light-hearted addition to a worship service.

Don’t you be coy with me girl! . . . You know very well you were on a date last night . . dinner and dancing! . . . Was it pure awesome?

Belle:
Let’s see . . . The day was awesome . . up to the time when the loser showed up.

Nell:
So you are saying your young man wasn’t up to expectations?

Belle:
Well, he for sure was young . . . .

Nell:
Nice! . . How young?

Belle:
Well I asked his dad that when he delivered his son for our date . . but he just laughed.

(Estelle comes on stage.)

Estelle:
Hey guys, what’s happenin’?

Estelle:
So my guess is it’s game over for that boyfriend.

Nell:
No, we have another date tomorrow night.

Belle:
What are you saying Nell, the guy is a sub-zero.

Nell:
Yes he is Belle, but he is my only prospect.

Estelle:
My guess is best you wait for your Boaz.

Nell:
What is that supposed to mean? . . . Who is this Boaz, and when is this dude coming?

Estelle:
You know the story . . . Ruth in the Bible, she didn’t grab the first guy that came around, she waited, and God’s choice for her, Boaz, he came along.
