A Short Drama about Division, Pride, and the Power of Serving Together
Based on Philippians 4:2–3, Ununified Unity© brings to life the conflict between two passionate leaders in the early church—Euodia and Syntyche. Each woman believes her ministry is the most important: one champions prayer, the other is devoted to good works. Their rivalry is playful on the surface but reflects a deeper division that threatens the unity of the church.

When Syzygus, a mutual friend and co-laborer of the apostle Paul, brings them together, tensions rise, and egos clash. But through Paul's wisdom and a bit of divine humor, the two women are reminded that serving Christ isn’t about competing for spiritual superiority—it’s about working together with one mind and one purpose.

Sample Script:

Syzygus: Oh hi, Euodia, glad you could make it. Come, sit down.

Euodia: Hello Syzygus, nice to see you. Heard from your partner, Paul, recently?

Syzygus: Matter of fact, just got a note from him. He is in prison, you know. And actually, that’s part of the reason I wanted to meet with the two of you.

Euodia: Because he is in jail you want to meet with me? Oh, I get it—you wanted to talk with me, me being the chair of PIPPY?

Syzygus: PIPPY?

Euodia: You know, our group, PIPPY—P-I-P-P-Y. Philippians in Protracted Prayer to Yahweh.

Syzygus: Oh right, PIPPY. Very important group. And Paul asks that you continue to lift him up in prayer while he is in prison. But that’s not exactly the reason I wanted to meet with the two of you.

Euodia: (looks around) Two? Hate to break this to you, but there is like . . . me . . . here.

Syzygus: Yes, but I also invited . . . oh, here she is. Hello Syntyche, come on in, have a chair.

Syntyche: Hi Syzygus, sorry I am late, our DILLIE meeting simply went on and on. I tell you, that Hannah, love her to pieces, but she can talk words into an early grave.

Syzygus: DILLIE?

Syntyche: Yes, our group, DILLIE, as in D-I-L-L-I-E. Deeds In Leading Lives Into Eternity. Not that I, as convenor, should be saying so but . . . I must say, DILLIE is really the driving force behind the church in Philippi, you know.

Euodia: The driving force you say? And what is PIPPY, I might ask, pulled mutton?

Syntyche, sees Euodia, unimpressed : You never mentioned that she would be here.

Euodia: Nor did you tell me that, (nods toward Syntyche), she, was expected.

Syzygus: I asked both of you to meet me here today, because Paul, our partner in the Lord, wants that I have a word with you.

Syntyche: When you are talking with Paul tell him for all of us in DILLIE that we continue to good works, just as he asked us.
