Unfinished Business

A little while ago, my friend, Jerry, heard about this great trip he could go on. This was really the trip of a lifetime, and there was no way anyone would want to turn down this opportunity. I mean, it was perfect! His way has already been paid, he didn’t have to worry about bringing anything with him, ‘cause everything he needed would be provided, and the best part of all, he could bring whomever he wanted! All he had to do was let them know about the trip! Easy, huh? Well, not for Jerry!
You see, this guy was so excited! He was really into the planning! All he talked to me about was this trip he was going on. I kept telling, “Listen, man, you don’t have to tell me anymore! I know all about the trip! You gotta tell someone who hasn’t heard the news!”
Well, that didn’t do any good. This guy was so caught up in his trip, he didn’t tell one single person about his amazing adventure coming his way. Not one person!

Actor: Can you believe it? Did you hear? Would you honestly think someone would be think that way?

Pauses for a moment.

Actor: Oh, sorry. Judging from that look on your face, I guess you didn’t hear.
Well it was quite something, that’s for sure. Do you want to hear about it? You won’t believe what I have to tell you.
You’re going to laugh! Or, maybe you’ll shake your head in disbelief!

You know what I did? Well I’ll tell you that in a minute. Let me first bring you up to speed.
