• This four-part drama series follows Jenna, Caroline, and the unforgettable CC Seymour as they wrestle with questions about commitment, love, calling, and perseverance. At first, the answers seem like they might come from quick wit, catchy rhymes, or whatever sounds clever in the moment. But scene by scene, the audience is pulled toward something deeper: God’s way is steadier, wiser, and far more life-giving than the shortcuts we’re tempted to trust.

What makes this piece work so well on a church stage is its simplicity. No complicated set. No pile of props. Just strong character interaction, a playful rhythm, and biblical truth that comes through clearly. It has enough comedy to keep people engaged, but underneath the laughs is a message that genuinely sticks.

after a few seconds Caroline comes on stage, sees Jenna

Caroline: Jenna Thompson! . . . And how are you?

Jenna continues to walk on stage, very sad

Caroline: Jenna . . What’s wrong?

no reaction from Jenna

Caroline: Are you all right?

Jenna: Oh hi Caroline, how are you? . . . I am . . fine.

Caroline: You don’t look fine Jenna . . . Care to explain?

Jenna: Well, I need to find the answer.

Caroline: The answer?

Jenna: To the WKJO Radio Trivia of the Day Mind Bender Contest.

Caroline: “Mind bender”?

Jenna: That’s what the radio station calls their trivia program. I answered yesterday’s trivia answer.

Caroline: Wow, I am impressed! . . .

Jenna: Well the question was easy . . . “Is a verruca a physical condition, a type of wind or a musical instrument?”

Caroline: A verruca?

Jenna: A verruca . . . a common wart. . . I mean, everyone knows that.

Caroline: Guess that proves I’m not everyone.

Jenna: Well, today’s mind benders question has got me. . . . I mean who do I go to for answers?

a few seconds go by as Caroline and Jenna, embarrassed, look off stage

Jenna: I said . . . who do I go to for answers?

CC, offstage: Oooops

CC quickly comes on stage, rapping

CC: Hey they call me CC Seymour
‘Cause that be my name
I know answers to all questions
And my plan brought me fame.
If by chancers you need answers
I can tell all you folk
I give solid gold answers
And that ain’t no joke.
See I got the plan, man!
I get it done, son!
I use the ploy, boy!
So come get the plan, man!

Jenna, coy: Whoever is this?

Caroline: Better than that . . . Whatever is this?

CC: Hey they call me CC Seymour
‘Cause that be my name
I know answers to all questions
And my plan brought me fame.

CC, raps: Do the sun meet the sky on the 4th of July? . . .
