A pebble drops in the water still
In the world so tranquil and tame
But the Maker’s plan for the pebble is
That it's world will never be the same.

Some bring trouble and discord
Pebbles coated with conflict and strife
Those pebbles receive their own reward
And they reap their harvest in life.

But the Maker’s plan for the pebble is
That in its brief worldly flight
That its impact spreads from shore to shore
Shows the Master’s plan more bright.

The strife clothed pebble is seen by all
Cheered by throngs, in adoration staring
At the bright reflection as it skips along
But it sinks without lessons sharing . . .
