Sower and the Seed Series - Day 3
Carl the Confused Cactus has a dream—to grow a crop of rocks. With a watering can in one hand and hope in the other, he sets out to make the impossible happen. But as Rocky Root points out with his usual sarcasm, “You want life? Plant life.”
Joined by the ever-hopeful GNN crew, this light-hearted but powerful skit teaches kids that while God can do miraculous things, His love grows best in hearts that are prepared—like good soil ready for seeds. Wanda Weed returns with plenty of eye rolls, and Benny the Bee is all abuzz with excitement.

Sample Script
Lights up on Daisy Bloom entering with microphone and camerabean—a rolling potted plant pretending to be a camera. She’s scanning the area with excitement.)
Daisy: Good morning, viewers! Daisy Bloom here reporting live from the heart of the garden where something truly groundbreaking—or should I say rock-breaking—is happening. Rumors are spreading like fertilizer that someone is trying to grow... rocks. That’s right. Rocks. Let’s investigate.
(She tiptoes toward a small patch where Carl the Cactus stands proudly among carefully arranged stones. He’s watering them with great care.)
Carl: Grow, my stony children, grow! I believe in you!
Daisy: (into mic) And here he is—Carl the Cactus, the optimistic horticulturalist with one of the strangest planting strategies we’ve ever seen. Carl, can you explain what’s happening here?
Carl: (beaming) Absolutely! I've created the perfect environment for a bumper crop of boulders. Water. Sun. Positive reinforcement. We're making history!
Daisy: Viewers, you heard it here first. Stay tuned as we dig deeper—pun very much intended.
(Enter Petunia, looking skeptical and fabulous.)
Petunia: Um... Carl, sweetie, hate to crack your pot—but those are rocks. You can water them all day and nothing’s gonna sprout except disappointment.
Carl: That’s where you’re wrong, Petunia. I read somewhere that even hard things can grow under the right conditions.
Petunia: Yes, like character. Not gravel.
(Enter Rocky Root, arms crossed, unimpressed.)
Rocky: I heard we were planting stones now. Should I be worried someone’s going to try to fry me up next?
