Sample Script
(Lights up on a field. Fern is gently spreading seeds across the soil, humming happily. Benny buzzes nearby with a watering can.)
Fern: (smiling) These seeds are going to be so happy! Sun, soil, and a whole lotta love.
Benny: (zipping by) And a splash of H2O from yours truly! Buzz buzz!
(Enter Petunia holding a parasol and a journal.)
Petunia: What are you two up to? Planning a plant party without me?
Fern: We’re planting seeds—helping them grow deep roots so they can really thrive.
Petunia: Sounds... messy. But noble. Carry on!
(Enter Daisy Bloom with clipboard.)
Daisy: Welcome back to GNN: Garden News Network! Today we’re reporting live from the planting fields where seed growth is underway. But the question remains—will they take root?
Rocky: (entering with hoe, eyeing the ground) Depends. Is the soil ready? Is the sun shining? Are squirrels behaving? So far, I’m betting two outta three.
(Cue Nutters the Squirrel darting onstage, stuffing seeds into his cheeks.)
Nutters: Woohoo! Buffet time! Don’t mind me, just collecting these for... um... winter! Yeah, winter!
Fern: (hands on hips) Nutters! Those are for growing!
Nutters: But they’re soooo delicious! Crunchy, nutritious, and free! Want one?
Petunia: You can’t just take seeds like that—some of these might grow into my favorite flowers!
Rocky: (dryly) Or worse... more weeds.
Wanda: (popping up from behind a bush) Hey! I heard that! I am a proud, self-grown plant, thank you very much.
Rocky: (smirking) Self-grown and self-absorbed.
Wanda: Jealousy is not a good look for a tuber.
Daisy: Let’s keep it rooted in kindness, folks. The Bible says some seeds fall on the path and get snatched before they even sprout. . .
