Have we been thorough, done all we needed to do, ready when the end comes.

actors standing together going over checklist, Annie checking things off
Annie: Did you take care of that report?
Terry: Check.
Annie: Did you make those calls?
Terry: Check.
Annie: Did you file those papers?
Terry: Check.
Annie: Did you finalize details at the meeting?
Terry: Check.
Annie: Did you arrange those appointments?
Terry, frustrated: Check, check, check! I told you I've done absolutely everything that is required of me! Can I go now?
Annie: Not so fast. I think your work shows a certain deficiency in the area of training.
Terry, upset, grabs checklist: What do you mean? I worked extremely hard at everything! How could I have missed something?
Annie: Well, this is easily fixed. Just show me your list of people you trained to keep up your work.
Terry, more quietly: People I trained? Well, uh, I found I just couldn't rely on many of them. You know how young kids are nowadays! It's just easier if I do the work myself!
