Jehovah "Kaddesh" The Lord is my sanctifier. He has prepared a place for us. But we must obey and trust. In this drama many people who are offered a better place will turn down that generous offer because . . . we are not sure why, even though there it a better place that has been set aside for them.

Theme Verse: Leviticus 20:7-8 — “I am the Lord who sanctifies you.”
Run-Time: 5–6 minutes
Cast Number: 8 actors (flexible ages and genders)
Biblical Reference: Leviticus 20:7–8
Setting: Simple open stage, symbolic of two contrasting places — the “unclean” world and the “set apart” space
Props: None required
Category: Spiritual Growth / Obedience / Sanctification

Sample Script

Actors walk on stage, talking

1: OK, guys, I want you to move over here, into this special place.

2: Over there? How come we don’t just stay where we are? Close to bus stop, airport, supermarket.

1: Yes, that’s true, but see all of the garbage on the streets here, and it’s so lovely and clean over in that area which I have provided for you.

2: I can see that, it is nice all right.

3: Just a minute here! Who does he think he is, telling us where to go? I demand my rights, I won’t be pushed around!

2: I guess I kinda feel that way too. So maybe it’s nicer over there, but like I always say, why go to the work and effort of moving to another place?

1: But I have set this special place aside just for you, for your good pleasure.

3 (looking at 1): Can I ask a question, please? Why are you doing this for us? I mean, I don’t even know you.

1: No, you don’t know me, do you? I would so much like to know you personally, to live with you.

2: Hey, hey, just a minute here—so who said I wanted to live with you?

1: I have so much to offer you.

4: Give me a break! When is the last time I heard that claim? Sane people are supposed to buy in on this?

1: Buy? It is free.

3: I always say if it is free it is likely worth every penny.

4: Free gifts always end up too expensive.
