The rapture, preparing for Christ's return, being left behind?
Being so concerned about bringing along things we might need, when He has promised to supply all we could ever need. We forget the important things we need to do to prepare for His coming.

(Lights up. The actor enters, stretching and yawning.)
ACTOR:
Man, am I tired! (yawns)
I gotta get with it! Got to get packing—never know when He might come for us.
(Looks around.)
Now then, where did I put my suitcase?
(Finds a small suitcase, sets it on a chair, and opens it.)
This should be lots of room for all I will need. After all, He said He will supply everything I really need anyhow.
(Phone rings. The actor answers.)
ACTOR:
Hello?
Oh, hi, Carol.
Yes, I know He is coming. Actually, I’m just packing now.
(Expression shifts to incredulity.)
You’re not packing? Taking nothing at all?
Yes, I know He said He would supply all my needs. But there are some things I simply can’t leave behind.
I’m fully aware that He could come at any hour. Don’t panic! I will be ready! It’s not like I would stay behind!
Yes, yes, see you then.
Bye.
(Hangs up the phone and sighs, then resumes packing.)
I can’t believe Carol would take nothing! I mean, some things you just need, no matter what.
(Pulls out an old Bible, dusts it off.)
Like this—my old Bible! Surely I’ll need that. And look—it’s hardly scuffed at all! Only used on Sundays… Bible study sometimes… Yep, a Bible is a good thing to take.
(Pauses, thinking.)
Come to think of it, I should take along that Bible study outline I prepared. Everyone really raved about that. He will want to see that when He comes. I’m sure He’ll be impressed.
(Pulls out trophies, smiling.)
Oh, look here—my trophies from Bible Quizzing when I was a kid. I remember this big one especially— “Overall Best Score in Regionals.” Can’t leave that behind.
(Tries to fit the trophy into the suitcase, struggling with its weight.)
Whew! It’s heavy! Hope I don’t break it… maybe I should wrap it in this sweater, just in case. Never know, might need a sweater anyhow.
(Steps back, looks at the suitcase, shakes head.)
You know, this suitcase is gonna be too small.
(Reaches behind the chair and pulls out a larger suitcase.)
I’d better get a bigger one.
