The story of Moses shows we are privileged to know God. From the basket in the bulrushes to leading his people out of Egypt, Moses was rewarded for talking to God and obeying Him. The first part of the drama is spent with the children during the church service, then they procede to their S.S. class and continue lesson.
Prior to Moses entering the sanctuary, the pastor invites the children to come to the front of the church.

Pastor says: The great thing about Children's Church is that you get to learn about God and about people in the Bible who have served God. And again this morning we have a special treat for you! We have a very special person coming to talk to you in Children's Church this morning.
Moses enters sanctuary from side door:
Good morning! My name is Moses. I'm sure that all of you have heard of me. This morning we are going to go to your Sunday School room and talk about what things were like back in the Bible time when I lived.
Do you see the basket I brought with me? Can you tell me what is special about this basket? . . . Well when I was born, the King issued an order that all boy babies would be destroyed. So when I was very little my mother put me into a basket just like this one and put me on the water in the river.
The king's daughter found me, rescued me and looked after me until I was grown up. But the most special thing that happened to me was that I had the privilege to know God and to talk to Him.
And you know I was just thinking. So many things have changed since I was a child. But the opportunity to talk to God hasn't changed. You still can talk to God today. How do you do that, how do you talk to God? . . . . . You talk to him in prayer, don't you? So now before we go to your room for your church service, let's talk to God.
"Dear God, I thank you for these children and for their interest in learning about You. Bless these children and their families. We pray in your Name. Amen."
Moses takes the hand of a couple of the smallest children and leads them down the aisle, out the back doors of the sanctuary.
In the children's classroom, Moses reads to the children an account of some of the highlights in Moses' life.
