Looking backward can be a very important thing, unless you are walking or driving.
A humorous monologue with a message about looking backward.
Perhaps you are celebrating a significant milestone such as birthday or anniversary. Whether this milestone is for yourself, a friend or other, or whether it is a church or ministry that is celebrating, it is natural and good to look back at what has taken place, as a guide to going forward.

Whaaaaaaaaaa? . .
Where did you guys come from?
I mean I was just here talking with this guy and . . And I come in this room and I . . .
I trip around like some geek that can’t seem to know which end’s up . .
I’m not that type a guy I mean like I’m . . . together . . well, I mean like, mostly together . .Mostly . .
Oh sure, like there was that time when I was washing my hair and I by accident grabbed the bottle of furniture polish instead of the shampoo and I . . .
But that’s like a natural mistake . . .Kinda . . .
Give me a break I mean . . .I didn’t have my glasses on and I . .
But plus is, for weeks after I just swing my head around on the furniture and my hair would . .
But . . . whoa . . that could be way past the need to know and . .

But this . . . tripping over my own feet coming in the room . . . I mean . . Silly me is all I can say!
Fact is, my bad for walking on here, not looking where I was going, looking back . .
Dangerous thing that, looking back . .can be . .
I mean, you don’t know where you are going, . . unless you got eyes in the back of your head . .
Which I don’t . .
turns back to the audience

Most don’t have eyes in the back of their heads . . Well, maybe my Mom . .
I swear that woman could detect crinkling of a candy bar wrapper at 300 paces, I mean . .
