Promoting Sunday School (Family Bible Hour). A comedy about a guy who skips a course on tire manufacture and sales. He read the pamphlet and thats good enough for him, he is an instant expert. If anyone asks him a question about tires he'll make an educated guess! Not sure how tire management relates to looking into reading the Bible but . . .

Sample Script: The Tire Course

(Actors stand outside a door, holding books and pens, waiting to get into class.)

Joe: That’s right, that’s right. The courses offered here are second-to-none!

Frank: I’ll say. You aren’t going to get very far without having sat in on these courses.

Mary: I’m really excited! I’ve always wanted to know more, and here I am—Mary McKinley—soon to be a tire expert!

Frank: It brings shivers to us all, Mary! Who knew there would be so much to know about tires! Good thing we have these courses to help us out.

Joe (checks watch): Oh, better hurry up! Looks like class may be starting soon.

Mary: I want a front-row seat so I don’t miss a thing!

Joe: Okay, we’ll see you guys later!

(Joe starts to walk away, Mary and Frank look at each other, confused.)

Frank: Joe! Where are you going? Class is in here!

Joe: Oh, I know! That’s where you two will be. Me—I gotta go.

Mary: Uh, Joe, I thought you were taking these courses too. Don’t you want to be a tire expert?

Joe: Well, the way I look at it is that the most important thing to know about tires are the basics, and those were in the pamphlet when I first checked into these courses!

Frank: The basics?

Joe: Sure! You know, like what shape is a tire?

(Mary and Frank have a puzzled look on their faces.)

Joe: Round! A tire is round! And uh, what color are most tires? Black! You know, the basics!

Mary: But Joe, aren’t those kind of obvious basics? I mean, you don’t have to be a tire expert to know that tires are round and black!

Frank: Yeah. Don’t you want to know more and become an actual expert?

Joe: Why would I ever need to know more than the basics?
