Ducky Forgiveness

In this puppet script we show that forgiveness is vital for any relationship, in fact it can make a relationship, . . well . . ducky!

Cast: 2 (duck puppet and puppeteer)

Tessie and Spike come on stage

Tessie: Oh my Spike, isn’t it such a gorgeous day?

Spike: Kinda hot with a cool breeze, you ask me.

Tessie: And see all the nice people here, such nice smiles.

Spike: That kid there isn’t nice; I hate it when people stare.

Tessie: They aren’t staring Spike, they are just . . .

Spike: Would you mind?

Tessie: “Mind”?? . . Mind what?

Spike: Mind not holding me so tight . ..

Tessie: Sorry Spike I . . .

Spike, squirms: You know . . your fingernails could use some trimming! . . .

Tessie: Sorry Spike, I didn’t realize that I . . .

Spike: And while you are at it, how about warming up your hands a bit before we start?

Tessie: You know Spike, if I didn’t know better I would swear you are kinda grumpy.

Spike, shaking so annoyed, looks into Tessie’s face: Grrrrrrr-umpy? . . . You would be so unkind as to refer to me as grrrrr-umpy?
I . . . Spike P. Duckling have never . . dare I repeat . . NEVER . . been grrrrrrr-umpy I shall have you know!

Tessie straightens Spike’ tie

Spike: OK, that just flat out does it!

Tessie continues to adjust Spike’ tie while speaking

Tessie: What’s wrong Spike, tell me.

Spike: Tell you? . . I shall for sure tell you! . . Keep your cotton-pickin’ fingers off my clothing!

Tessie: Your clothing? . . What clothing of yours did I touch?

Spike, in Tessie’s face: Get ready for this Tessie, it may blow your mind, but the only clothing I got is . . . my tie.
