Should we "do" missions? This comedy discusses the cause, the cost, the crown, and on without these people really understanding what their "cause" is and how to connect with people with the Message.

Can be done either with six puppets or six live actors, any age, male or female.
The background to this sketch is to show how some will “debate” while others will “do”, in any situation, including Missions and evangelism.

At Upstage Left are four characters, (Debaters - D#1 to D#4), standing around in deep discussion. Two more characters, (C#1 and C#2), come on stage, stand, watching. listening at Downstage Right.

Sample of script:

D#1: Firstly, there is His Cause

D#2: Yes, and there is His Call to His Cause,

D#3: But, my friends, you are forgetting that there is the Cost to His Call to His Cause.

D#4: A very good point, but did you realize that there is a Crown for the Cost to His Call to His Cause.

D#1: Very well spoken, yes, yes indeed! But, let me get this straight, basically what we are saying is that primarily there is His Cause, but in response to that there must be His Call, notwithstanding the fact that certainly there is a Cost to His Call for His Cause. Yet, in spite of the above, the fact remains that ultimately there shall be a Crown for the Cost of His Call to His Cause.

D#2: I hear what you are saying brother, (sister), but it seems to me that it is more a case of the fact that His Cause is paramount, to which His Call comes forth, there naturally being a Cost to His Call, from which we have determined there shall be forthcoming a Crown rewarding the Cost of His Call to His Cause.

D#3: Now, that is all well and good, however, we must not lose sight of the fact that there first and foremost there must be a Cause. It is only at this point that it becomes possible for there to be His Call to His Cause. Do you see where I am taking this thought? It is at that juncture where His Call to His Cause creates the Cost to His Call to His Cause. Now then, work with me on this, next comes the potential of a Crown.

D#2: Crown? I’m afraid you’ve lost me on this one.

D3#: Really quite elementary, let me recapitulate for your benefit. See, the Crown is the proposed recipient good for those to whom His Call to His Cause creates the Cost, thus resulting in creating the framework for the Crown for the Cost of His Call to His Cause.

D#4: Perhaps it falls to me to capsulize in a compact, concise, condensed, yet neither crisp nor cursory, coverage of the connective, contributory components and chapters in our current consideration.. Can we contract a compassionate compromise as we continue to come to a common cognizance of this crucial concept of the Cause in order to conceive a cooperative culmination to covenant with all constituents in the case?

C#1: Say what?
