Are you a "Bondage Builder" or "Bondage Breaker?"

Handling our finances, our allocation of our time, and what becomes most important in our lives, our jobs, our families. All these things and more are essentials in our lives. Without some of these skills we are unable to function as a person, a spouse, a friend or as a family, resulting in emotional and financial bondage, money problems, misuse of position and power. What are we focusing on?

Set: standard

Sound: wireless mics if available

Song: none

Lighting: standard

SFX: none

Props: none, all props are mimed

Costumes:

• Car, Holiday, House, Clothing & Banker dressed in black with their "names," displayed sufficiently large to be seen.
• God in white.
• All others various colors.

Special Instructions:

• The actors move and speak in unison.
• IMPORTANT – As actors come on stage they are looking at each other as they speak, miming looking in mirror, adjusting hair, clothing, makeup. This is to give the impression that they are not truly worshipping but “playing worship”.
• Banker stands throughout to one side of stage, smiling, happy, miming clapping hands
• God stands at other side, smiling until actors start "getting things." His happiness turns to sadness.

Sample of script:

All actors hurry into the sanctuary from back doors, praising God, speaking lines in unison.

Actors say:
Worship Worship
Worship God
God is beautiful
God is good
Worshipping God is good

Car “drives on stage from back doors”, turning quick corners, fast acceleration, polishes the car.
Actors begin to notice Car, stop worship

Car says:
Car is good
Nice shiny car
People pay attention as you drive shiny car
People worship you because of shiny car
Come, get your shiny car

Some actors “drive away in their shiny car”, drive to stage right position, saying:
Car is good
Nice shiny car
People pay attention as I drive shiny car
People worship me because of shiny car
I‘ve got my shiny car

Car goes on stage, laughs in glee as he watches actor
Clothing actor comes to front, showing off clothing, flicking lint off, walking proudly

Clothing says:
Nice clothing is good
Nice beautiful clothing
People notice you when you are wearing nice clothing
People worship you because of nice clothing
Come, get your nice clothing

Some actors “get their nice clothing”, walk to stage left position, saying:
Clothing is good
Nice clothing
People pay attention when I wear nice clothing
People worship me because of nice clothing
I‘ve got my nice clothing

Clothing goes on stage, laughs in glee as he watches actors
Holiday actor comes to front, mimes flying, boating, driving, walking proudly

Holidays says:
Nice holiday is good
Nice beautiful holiday
People notice you when you are having nice holiday
People worship you because of nice holiday
Come, get your nice holiday

Some actors “get their nice holiday”, walk to centerstage right position, saying:
Clothing is good
Nice clothing
People pay attention when I wear nice clothing
People worship me because of nice clothing
I‘ve got my nice clothing

Holiday laughs in glee as he watches actors
House actor comes to front, mimes opening door, looking proudly at house

House says:
Nice house is good
Nice beautiful house
People notice you when you have a nice house
People worship you because of nice house

Some actors “get their nice house”, walk to centerstage left position, saying:
House is good

People pay attention when I have nice house

House laughs in glee as he watches actors
Banker comes on stage, walks among actors, says:
Things are beautiful
Things are nice
But things are expensive
You must pay for beautiful things
