In the same way that you had a very good mother.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003ePastor:\u003c\/strong\u003e And your father Joseph. . . Well . . . actually not your . . real . . father I guess.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eJesus:\u003c\/strong\u003e Joseph was my earthly father. . . And he was a good and effective, loving father.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003ePastor:\u003c\/strong\u003e Tell me about that night in Bethlehem.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eJesus:\u003c\/strong\u003e Well, like I say, I only know about that night by what my Mother and others have told me. . . . But it was a very special and exciting night!\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003ePastor:\u003c\/strong\u003e I always think of the excitement among the shepherds when the angels announced that you had been born!\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eJesus:\u003c\/strong\u003e Yes the shepherds were excited after they realized what the angel’s message meant. But I’m sure that the shepherds must have been very frightened at first by the bright lights of heaven, . . and by the sight and the songs of the angels.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003ePastor:\u003c\/strong\u003e But the angel told the shepherds that they had nothing to be afraid of, that their message was very good news, for everyone. . . That you, the Messiah, had been born. But the shepherds must have been shocked to hear that you were born in a stable.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eJesus:\u003c\/strong\u003e Well, the town was full that night; the census had brought people to Bethlehem from all over the country. And by the time Joseph and my mother arrived in town all the hotels were full. The innkeeper was kind enough to let them stay in the stable out back.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003ePastor:\u003c\/strong\u003e But in a . . barn? . .
